The Saturnalia holidays should be the happiest time of the year at Videntia Academy.
For the first time in decades, snow has fallen over Barcinova. The city is transformed into a winter wonderland filled with festive lights, steaming pastries and mechanical holiday decorations.
But Luna Parker is convinced that something terrible is about to happen.
After experiencing a disturbing vision of Videntia Academy frozen, silent and completely deserted, Luna begins to fear that disaster is approaching. Soon afterwards, students start disappearing without a trace.
At the same time, Christian Rosenberg discovers that his Oculus Nova—the remarkable goggles that allow young Seers to witness the past—are malfunctioning for reasons nobody can explain.
Cut off from the outside world by an impossible snowstorm and trapped within the walls of Videntia Academy, Luna and Christian must uncover the truth behind the disappearances before the entire Academy is lost beneath the ice.
